Guess who stopped by school today? 🎅✨

Our students were surprised and delighted when a very special visitor walked through the halls passing out candy canes! The smiles, excitement, and holiday cheer were absolutely contagious.

Bidding a fond farewell to outgoing board member, Lonnie Eaton. Thank you for your 10 years of faithful and exemplary service. Swearing in a returning board member, Amy Hunt, and new board member, John Larson. Thank you, Amy!. Welcome aboard, John.

Three Naselle-Grays River Valley High School knowledge bowl teams competed at an ESD 113 meet against 21 other teams from around Pacific, Grays Harbor, and Thurston counties. At the end of the meet, our top team placed 3rd out of 24 teams, and our next highest team placed 6th overall. Great job, students! Thank you for coaching, Mrs. Holt. We would like to remind parents, guardians, staff, and community members that our leadership students and Miss See have resurrected the gift giving program previously known as the "Angel Tree." There is a "Comet Tree" in the office with tags on it that contain important information about clothing sizes, gift ideas, and other necessities for needy students and families. There is still time for parent, guardians, staff, and community members to sponsor a student--or multiple students--this holiday season. If you would like to participate and purchase gift items for a student or students, please come by the office as soon as possible or contact Miss See. We hope that you have a safe, healthy, and joyous holiday season.

Due to the recent weather related school closures, lost preparation opportunities, an illness for our band instructor, and multiple other factors, we have decided to postpone our winter concert until a date and time to be determined in January. Ultimately, we want to give our students and our band director the opportunity to deliver a performance that is reflective of their abilities and talents. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we look forward to scheduling a concert in January. Thank you for your understanding.

This achievement not only reflects Mrs. Hoagland’s dedication and passion for empowering students, but also marks an important step forward as we continue to grow and strengthen our CTE programs across the district.

With her expertise and commitment, our students will have even more opportunities to explore real-world skills, discover new career pathways, and prepare for bright futures.

There will be no bus service to the following areas due to roadway conditions:

Eden Valley

Altoona–Pillar Rock

Loop Road

Rising water levels in various parts of the district have created hazardous travel conditions. For this reason, we will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, December 11th.

We will continue monitoring conditions overnight and will make a final decision by 7:45 AM.

Due to flooding in various areas throughout the district, Naselle–Grays River Valley School District will be on a 3-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10th.

We will make a final decision by 8:00 AM tomorrow morning and will share updates through our website, School Messenger, and social media.
