Parents/Guardians of Students in Grades 6-12:
Our school district-along with the majority of other school districts around the state-will participate in the 2025 Healthy Youth Survey during the week of October 20-24. We will administer this survey during the mornings of October 21 and 23. The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions about physical activity and nutrition, physical and mental health, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use and abuse, risk and protective factors, and access to school and community-based services. We have received an exemption for questions regarding sexual behavior and violence. These questions will not appear on the survey for our students. Survey results are used by schools, communities, and state organizations to plan programs designed to support our youth, reduce risk factors, and promote safe and healthy behaviors. Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and anonymous.
The Healthy Youth Survey will be given to students in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and student answers are anonymous. Please read the enclosed Parent and Student Information Letter for more information about the survey.
